STUDENTS - INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SUPPORT GROUPS

An active extra-curricular calendar is one of the hallmarks of NMIMS, Mumbai. Students participate in the daily life of the School, develop projects and become involved in activities such as marketing, the Stock Exchange, international activities, sports, and student offices and functions. The main student association for international students is ESCONM.

Exchange Students Council of NMIMS (ESCONM)

The group has been formed by the students who went for exchange programs to foreign universities. The Objective of this group is to felicitate interaction between international students and NMIMS students. We help international students in their daily life in the school and offer activities to enhance their stay.

We make sure that foreign students? stay at NMIMS happens to be very rewarding, with respect to both studies as well as general experience here. We hope that when students leave, they will take with them not only unforgettable memories, but also a better understanding of the Indian language, culture and business environment.

Our activities include Welcome and Integrate international students and promote cultural integration within the school.

• Pick them up at the airport
• Give them their room keys
• Take them to your new home sweet home
• Make them feel at home
• Show them the school
• Show them the best spots of Mumbai
• Organize an integration week
• Organize international dinners
• Give them an Indian Buddy: it will be an Indian student from NMIMS. International students will be in touch with her/him before their arrival at NMIMS, Mumbai. She/he will answer all the questions they can have when they arrive in a new country for the first time, will show the Indian culture and habits? The only thing international students have to do is to send to ESCONM "Buddy Questionnaire? as soon as they got it!
